Joe Lozoya

Joe began running in 2001 as a way to improve his health. In May 2002, he ran
his first 5K, the Fed Cup. In 2012 his coworkers invited him to participate in
the Ragnar Overnight Relay. This relay was the turning point in his running.
Ragnar gave him a passion for running. In 2014 Joe ran the Colorado
Marathon, his first full marathon, and has raced in 9 since including the Boston
Marathon. Now, he runs on nearly a daily basis, and has run numerous 5Ks,
10ks, 10-milers, half and full marathons.  Joe has run in races in various states
including Washington, Massachusetts, Hawaii, California, and Washington, DC.

This is Joe’s third year as President of the Colorado Frontrunners.

Mark Thompson

In 2012, Mark moved to Denver from Washington DC, where he had run with Frontrunners there since the early 1980s. He’s in his ninth year running and walking with Colorado Frontrunners. Mark is training for his first marathon in 15 years; his first was the Washington (DC) Marathon in 1984. He runs for fun, and yet enjoys the challenge of running longer distances like the half and full marathons. The last races he’s been in have been in DC, Dublin, Amsterdam, Honolulu, Denver and Marrakesh. He’s also an avid bicyclist and has been known to do a triathlon or two.

2021 is Mark’s first year as Treasurer.
